Officials from Dover Greens attended Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro’s address on the economic state of the county at the recent Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce monthly breakfast.

The audience was abuzz as Mr. Molinaro exhorted the over 300 guests to do all they can do to make Dutchess County the best and most sought-after place to live in New York State. The thrust of the speech was to update the gathering about recent county projects that have broken ground and to encourage a spirit of cooperation between local municipalities and those who are looking to develop and bring jobs into their cities, towns and villages.

At one point the County Executive stated that it was more important that planning boards help developers find a workable path to success than holding them up for years over the “color of a roof.” Dover Greens executives were encouraged, as they are in the process of working with the Town of Dover Planning Board to obtain Phase 1 Site Plan and Master Plan approval for the project.

“We have a good working relationship with Town of Dover officials, so the County Executive’s words were music to our ears,” said the Dover Greens official. “During the past few weeks we have had positive meetings and updates with Dover Town officials. Knowing that Mr. Molinaro is encouraging projects like ours gave me confidence that we are all on the same page.”

After the event, the County Executive stopped to get updates on the project from Dover Greens officials. A meeting with County Executive is set to take place in April to discuss the project in more detail.
