Recently Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro was escorted on a tour of the Dover Greens Project in Dover by members of the Dover Greens team.
The group discussed the vision for the project which includes education facilities, an IT Center, a Data Back-up Center, and retail amenities. They also talked about how accomplishing that vision would bring jobs to the local community and the Harlem Valley and would help serve as a catalyst for economic growth for the entire Hudson Valley region.
During the tour, Molinaro commented that he appreciated the obvious financial investment that was already being put into the Dover Greens Project and that so many local people could be seen actively working on site.
“I saw evidence of a team with the intellectual and financial capacity to make the project succeed,” said County Executive Molinaro. The work he saw showed that the developers were “committed to a quality project,” he said.
The tour was the first meeting between Dover Greens officials and the Dutchess County Executive, who represents over 300,000 people, in one of the most economically important regions in New York State.
Before leaving the site, the County Executive delivered the following statement:
“Dutchess County is very excited to welcome Dover Greens to Eastern Dutchess County. This corridor has been so critical to our community. To see the partnership and great investment opportunity that will present themselves—very, very exciting to us. On behalf of the people in Dutchess County, on behalf of our community, welcome. We look forward to working together. We look forward to cooperating together. We look forward to building new relationships together.”
