Dover Greens hosted the Mentors Open, a special pre-event for the upcoming Swinging with Spirit 2025 Youth Golf Event. Held as a 9-hole best-ball tournament, the event welcomed young professional golfers who will mentor local youth, along with supportive town leaders.
Former County Executive Bill O’Neil opened the event with words of encouragement, praising the golfers’ willingness to mentor youth who’ve never had access to golf.
Dover Greens President Marian Rebro also gave a warm welcome, highlighting the heart of the outreach—serving and empowering the next generation.
PGA professional Pat Sullivan, a key team member, shared his passion for mentoring through golf and praised the course, designed by legendary architect Donald Ross, for its quality and legacy.
The event fostered camaraderie and unity among mentors as they prepared for the August 22 main event.
