The sixth floor of the Dutchess County Office Building was the setting for yesterday’s first official meeting between Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro and Dover Greens officials.
During the hour long conversation the County Executive was updated on progress of the Dover Greens Project and explored ways the county might lend a hand in helping the project move forward.

“The county wants to see Dover Greens succeed,” said Mr. Molinaro. “One way we can help you do that is by timely communication on any issue where county approval is needed for you to proceed.”

One example of this discussed during the conversation is a newly designed and conceptually approved sewer treatment plant for the Olivet University Campus that is presently going through the final stage of New York State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process. The County Executive encouraged Dover Greens officials to submit the second set of construction plans to the Dutchess County Department of Health as soon as it completes SEQRA for timely review.

Dover Greens was pleased to see Mr Molinaro is willing to execute the support for the project in a tangible way during the meeting.

The discussion also included Olivet University’s “permission to operate” status that allows to run programs in Dover location and charter for P-12 education. Additionally, progress on a variety of infrastructure improvements and building long-term relationships with local governments and the community were discussed.
